MAXMIX puts another set of experienced ears on your mixes

MAXMIX masters one song projects as well as complete albums (Red Book CD Ready). Please keep the following in mind before submitting your files:

1.
Larger the file, the better. 24 bit / 48K WAV or AIFF is perfect. A song's file size should be anywhere between 40mb - 80mb.

2. Leave headroom. When mixing, leave 4 to 6db of headroom (from your loudest peak) in your mixdown file. This leaves room for the mastering process.

3. Try not to use a bus compressor on your final mix. If you feel compelled to do so, use it very sparingly.

4. Refrain from any fade ins or fade outs. It's best to leave that to the mastering process for dithering.

5. Provide the details for each song (in .txt format) so that they can be integrated as meta data to your song. (ie copyright info, etc.). This will show up when playing the master or when imprinted to a CD. Other information in this file would be fade in / fade out times. gaps, song order, etc.

5. MAXMIX provides a means to upload your songs: www.maxmixstudios.com/downloadupload/
Once you contact MAXMIX, a user name and password will be set up for you to upload. This is also where you can retrieve your master when complete. (Only three songs at a time can be uploaded at this time). Full CD will be delivered or shipped.
